Abstrak
Balai Penelitian Tanaman Jeruk dan Buah Subtropika (Balitjestro), Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Hortikultura, telah mengembangkan satu model untuk pengelolaan kebun jeruk, yang dinamakan Pengelolaan Terpadu Kebun Jeruk Sehat (PTKJS). Model tersebut terdiri dari lima komponen teknologi, yaitu : (1) penanaman bibit bebas penyakit, (2) pengendalian serangga vector penular penyakit Huanglungbin (CVPD), (3) sanitasi kebun, (4) pemeliharaan optimal kebun jeruk, (5) konsolidasi pengelolaan kebun-kebun jeruk. Model tersebut telah diimplementasikan di sejumlah daerah pengembangan jeruk, seperti di Kabupaten Sambas, Kalimantan Barat, dan Kabupaten Ponorogo, Jawa Timur. Tingkat adopsi teknologi merupakan suatu indikasi dari preferensi petani terhadap model tersebut yang didasarkan kepada kondisi biofisik, sosial, ekonomi dan budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat adopsi terhadap model PTKJS pada tingkat petani dan implementasinya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Sambas, Kalimantan Barat, dan Kabupaten Ponorogo, Jawa Timur. Survei pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dalam Bulan Juni 2006 melalui wawancara terhadap 53 petani jeruk responden. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat adopsi terhadap komponen teknologi dalam model PTKJS dipengaruhi oleh : (1) dukungan kelembagaan input dan out put produksi, (2) Kemangkusan dan efisiensi produksi, (3) kesesuaian teknologi dengan kondisi spesifik lokasi, dan (4) intensitas diseminasi teknologi. Analisis tingkat adopsi adalah sangat penting dalam rangka mendapatkan umpan balik untuk perbaikan model dan juga untuk membangun upaya-upaya diseminasi teknologi yang memadai.

Abstract
Indonesian Citrus and Subtropical Fruits Research Institute (ICSFRI), Indonesian Center for Horticultural Research and Development (ICHORD), has developed model on citrus orchard management, namely Integrated Management of Healthy Citrus Orchard (IMHCO). It consists of five technology components i.e. (1) Growing of disease-free planting materials, (2) control Huanglungbin (CVPD) insect vector, (3) orchard sanitation, (4) optimal maintenance of citrus orchard, and (5) consolidation of citrus orchards management. This model has been introduced and implemented in some citrus growing areas such as in Sambas, West Kalimantan, and in Ponorogo, East Java. The level of technology adoption is an indication of farmer’s preference to the model based on biophysical, social, economical, and cultural condition. A study was carried out to determine the intensity of adoption of the model at the farmer level and its implementation. The study was conducted in Sambas District, West Kalimantan, and in Ponorogo District, East Java. A survey was carried out in June 2006 in those locations to collect data from 53 citrus growers. Descriptive analysis was performed using the colleted data. The result indicated that the adoption level of each technology component within the model varied low to very high. The adoption level of the IMHCO model was influenced by : (1) the institutional support of production inputs and outputs, (2) effectiveness and efficiency of the technology components, (3) Suitability of the technology component into locally specific conditions, and (4) intensity of technology dissemination. Analysis of the adoption level of IMHCO is very important to generate feedback for improvement of the model and also for the establishment of appropriate dissemination efforts.
