Perubahan Kualitas Buah Jeruk Fremont (Citrus reticulata) Yang Dipanen Dari Tingkat Ketinggian Lahan Yang Berbeda Selama Penyimpanan

ABSTRAK
Penelitian bertujuan menentukan perubaham mutu buah jeruk Fremont yang dipanen pada ketinggian yang berbeda selama dalam penyimpanan. Buah dipanen berdasarkan kriteria panen di kebun. Pelaksanaan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan level ketinggian sebagai perlakuan, yaitu 500-600 m dpl. dan 700-800 m dpl. Elevasi lahan mempengaruhi warna kulit buah, makin tinggi level elevasi lahan warna kulit buah semangik orange. Lahan berketinggian 500-800 m di atas permukaan laut tidak mempengaruhi kekerasan buah dan kandungan TTS sari buahnya pada saat panen. Walaupun demikian, ada kecenderungan makin tinggi kadar asam dan vitamin C pada buah yang berasal dari pohon yang tumbuh di lahan berelevasi lebih tinggi. Penurunan bobot buah, kekerasan buah, kadar asam, dan vitamin C serta peningkatan kandungan TTS dalam buah diamati selama penyimpanan. Buah jeruk Fremont tidak bisa disimpan lebih dari 4 minggu setelah panen, sebab bobot buah susut nyata dan kulitnya menjadi keriput sehingga tidak layak dipasarkan.

ABSTRACT
The experiment was aimed to determine the quality change of Fremont fruit harvested from different elevation level during storage. Fruits were harvested according to orchard harvest criteria. The experiment was using Randomized Complete Design with different land elevation levels as the treatments i.e. 500-600m, 600- 700 m, and 700-800 m above sea level. Land elevation levels influenced peel color, the higher land elevation level, the more pronounce orange peel color was appeared. Land elevation level in the range of 500-800 m above sea level did not affect fruit firmness and TSS content in fruit juice at harvest time. However, there is a tendency that higher acid and vitamin C content observed in fruit of tree grown in the higher land elevation. The decreases on weight of fruit, fruit firmness, acid and vitamin C contents and increase of TSS content were observed during storage. The fruit of Fremont could not stored more than 4 weeks, because at 4 MSP fruit experienced significant weight loss and severe peel shrank so that it results in unmarketable fruit.
