Kajian Penerapan Teknologi Budidaya Pada Jeruk Keprok Selayar

Abstrak
Jeruk merupakan salah satu komoditas buah-buahan penting antara lain karena usahataninya mernberikan sumbangan besar dalam peningkatan pendapatan petani. Di Sulawesi Selatan, produktivitas jeruk baru mencapai 9,91 t/ha. Hal ini disebabkan penyakit utama seperti CVPD dan penerapan teknologi budidaya yang belum optimal. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas jeruk keprok, teknologi budidaya jeruk yang sudah tersedia perlu diterapkan di tingkat petani. Pengkajian dilakukan di kecamatan Bissappu, kab. Bantaeng pada bulan Mei sampai Desember 2004 dengan melibatkan masing-masing empat petani kooperator dan non-kooperator. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi budidaya jeruk seperti pemupukan, pemangkasan, pengendalian hama dan penyakit serta penanganan pasca panen belum dilakukan secara optimal oleh petani. Sampai satu bulan setelah teknologi budidaya diterapkan rata-rata jumlah tunas per cabang sekunder, jumlah daun per tunas serta jumlah buah yang terbentuk pada petani kooperator masing-masing 11,58 tunas; 3,68 daun/tunas dan 26,40 buah/pohon. Jenis hama dan penyakit yang ditemukan antara lain kutu daun, kutu dompolan, ulat peliang daun, penyakit dip1odia, penyakit busuk pangka1 batang dan penyakit dengan gejala mirip CVPD. Rata-rata tingkat penerapan teknologi oleh petani non-kooperator mencapai 50%.

Abstract
Citrus is one of the important fruit commodities due to their contribution to the increase of farmers income. In South Sulawesi, the citrus productivities are still 9.91 t/ha. The low yield is caused mainly by the diseases such as greening and the lack of appropriate technologies practiced by the farmers. To increase citrus productivities, the available technology should be applied at farmer level. The assessment was conducted, at farmer’s orchard in Bissapu subdistrict, Bantaeng regency in May to December 2004, involving four cooperator and non-cooperator farmers, respectively. The result indicated that the implementation of citrus technology such as fertilizing, pruning, controlling of pest and disease, and improving post harvest handling were not done optimally yet by farmers. A month after the cultivation technology applied, the average number of shoot cluster per secondary branch, the leaf number of shoot cluster and the number of small fruits at the cooperator farmer were 11.58 shoots, 3.68 leaves and 26.40 fruits respectively. Several pests and diseases were observed such as citrus aphids, mealybugs, leaf miners, diplodia, foot rot disease and greening like disease. The average of the technology implementation level by non-cooperator farmers were 50%.
